On July 7, political consultations were held between the Foreign Ministries of the Republic of Armenia and the Federal Republic of Germany. The political consultations were co-chaired by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia Paruyr Hovhannisyan and Director for Eastern Europe, the Caucasus and Central Asia of the MFA of Germany Matthias Luttenberg.
During the consultations the sides discussed a wide range of issues of the Armenian-German bilateral political agenda, emphasized the intensification of high-level political dialogue, touched upon the reforms of the judiciary system taking place in Armenia, the perspectives of further deepening the cooperation in trade, economy, education, culture, science and other spheres, as well as the current projects in development policy and humanitarian fields.
Deputy Minister Paruyr Hovhannisyan presented the current situation around the Nagorno- Karabakh conflict, highlighting the importance of the process of peaceful settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict under the auspices of the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairmanship. The interlocutors also touched upon a number of urgent issues of regional and international agenda.
