“The Lachin corridor is a strip of territory approximately 5 km wide which connects the Armenian border over 65 km to the territory called Nagorno-Karabakh or Artsakh by Armenia and Karabakh by Azerbaijan.
It is a strategic place which was the subject of special provisions during the negotiations which followed the fighting in 2020, the tripartite agreement of November 9, 2020 set out in its article 6, the obligation made to the Azerbaijan which had control of this place to, I quote: “guarantee the safety of people and vehicles moving in both directions”, today said Pierre-Alain Fridez (Switzerland, SOC) opening a current affairs debate on “Addressing the humanitarian consequences of the blockade of the Latchin corridor”
