Phone conversation of the Foreign Minister of Armenia with the U.S. Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs
On February 10, Foreign Minister of Armenia Ararat Mirzoyan had a phone conversation with Karen Donfried, the U.S. Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs.
The interlocutors touched upon regional security issues.
Views were exchanged on the normalization of relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan, as well as the humanitarian crisis in Nagorno-Karabakh. Ararat Mirzoyan reaffirmed the urgent need to lift Azerbaijan’s illegal blockade of the Lachin corridor and restore its regular regime defined by the Trilateral Statement of November 9, 2020, without any preconditions.
