On February 13, the President of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia A len Simonyan received the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Czech Republic Petr Pirunčík.
The NA President congratulated the Ambassador on the occasion of assuming the office, noting that during the implementation of his mission the Armenian-Czech cooperation will more expand and deepen.
At the meeting the collaboration of the parliamentarians of the two countries on the international platforms was highlighted. “Rather active cooperation developed between the parliaments of Armenia and Czechia during recent ten years. In this context I should note that I invited the Speaker of the Chamber of Deputies of the Czech Parliament Markéta Pekarová Adamová to visit Armenia,” the RA NA President noted.
The issue of deepening cooperation with the Czech Republic in the framework of Armenia-European Union Comprehensive and Advanced Partnership Agreement was discussed.

Speaking about the ongoing events in the region and the aggression of Azerbaijan being carried out against the sovereign territory of Armenia and the Armenian population of Nagorno Karabakh, the newly appointed Ambassador emphasized the way of having peaceful dialogue for the solution of the issue.
The Ambassador thanked the NA President for the reception, mentioning that during mission he will make all efforts for making communicative the Armenian and Czech people to each other’s history and culture.
