“Turkey has not become our friend. It was necessary to offer condolences, maybe some help, but we discuss it with the nation.” Former Prime Minister of Armenia

As we have informed, representatives of some NGOs and parties recently announced the start of a new movement. “Liberty” party Chairman, former Prime Minister of Armenia Hrant Bagratyan, does not understand the criticism of humanitarian shipments and condolences sent to Turkey.

“This discussion is not healthy anymore. Turkey has not become our friend. It was necessary to offer condolences and maybe some help, but we are discussing it with the nation. I don’t want to talk about it anymore; stop it; it’s inconvenient. Okay, we sent a few truckloads of help, we did humanity, and then? Nothing.”

According to Bagratyan, Turkey’s relations with Armenia will not change because they have a historical problem of ethnic formation with Azerbaijan. “Armenians cannot stop this; Armenians must defend themselves. Those processes will deepen, and Turkmens, Uzbeks, and Kazakhs will join that nation tomorrow. It will happen,” Bagratyan said at the meeting.
