On April 3, Deputy Foreign Minister Paruyr Hovhannisyan received the Delegation headed by the Chairman of Polish-Armenian friendship group of the Senate of the Republic of Poland Radoslaw Fogiel.
During the meeting, a wide range of issues on the Armenian-Polish bilateral agenda, as well as questions regarding prospects of cooperation in a number of areas of mutual interest were discussed.
Deputy Minister Hovhannisyan briefed the interlocutor on the deteriorating humanitarian situation as a result of the ongoing blockade of the Lachin corridor, as well as Armenia’s commitment and efforts to establish peace in the region. The importance of the decision adopted on February 22 by the International Court of Justice was highlighted, according to which, Azerbaijan should take all necessary measures to ensure the unimpeded movement of people, vehicles and cargo in both directions through the Lachin corridor.
