Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan announced that Armenia is ready to withdraw troops along the 1991 Armenia-Azerbaijan borderline map. The spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan stated that Pashinyan should clarify what he meant by the borders of 1991. At the NA briefing, the National Defense and Security Affairs Committee Chairman, Andranik Kocharyan, replied that Pashinyan is not saying this for the first time that the troops should be mirrored pull back, but there is no response. “We are moving with the maps we have of our state border.”
To the question, the opposition believes that the omission related to the clashes in Tegh village was the responsibility of the political authorities, and to the questions: why are the Prime Minister’s instructions not being carried out, when did he give those instructions, are the civil service examinations conducted at the National Security Service or the Ministry of Defense?
During the NA briefing, Andranik Kocharyan answered, “The instructions of the Armenian Prime Minister cannot be ignored; they can simply be incomplete. There are flaws, and it has been documented many times. We seek to identify and punish the guilty. When and where the instructions were given, they can be given during the sessions of the Security Council.
“Yesterday we had a discussion, the Chief of the General Staff participated, and the opposition had the opportunity to ask what the shortcomings were related to; the presence or absence of a recommendation was bypassed.”

The representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, stated that Russia demands clarifications from Armenia about Armenia’s participation in NATO military exercises. Andranik Kocharyan sneered in response to the journalists’ question about this. “I even heard that Maria Zakharova even answered Armen Khachatryan.”
Civil Contract faction MP Artur Hovhannisyan also said. “That wording – Maria Zakharova demands clarifications from RA – is a bit unclear. Armenia moves forward in the interests of the RA State and does everything to increase the combat capability of its armed forces. Armenia continues its warm friendly strategic relations with its strategic partner Russia; it also continues its warm relations with our partners in other countries.”
According to Andranik Kocharyan, Zakharova also said that the actions in Tegh village stopped with the direct participation of Russia. “I don’t doubt what Ms. Zakharova said, that Russia participated in some format, but still, the RA Armed Forces fought. If we didn’t fight, we didn’t give victims, let the Russian Foreign Ministry make calls left and right as much as it wanted, it wouldn’t lead to the solution of the problem.”
