On April 25, Deputy Foreign Minister Paruyr Hovhannisyan received the delegation headed by Loucas Fourlas, the Member of the European Parliament and the Chairman of the Friendship Group with Armenia.
During the meeting, Paruyr Hovhannisyan and Loucas Fourlas touched upon the issues on the security situation in the South Caucasus, the illegal blockade of the Lachin corridor by Azerbaijan, emphasized the importance of the deployment of the EU mission in Armenia, as well as highlighted the need for the immediate release of Armenian prisoners of war.
A number of issues of the Armenia-EU partnership agenda, including inter-parliamentary cooperation, were discussed. Paruyr Hovhannisyan highly appreciated the principled position of the European Parliament on issues of vital importance for Armenia, stated in the relevant resolutions and reports.
