The deputies Sisak Gabrielyan and Taguhi Ghazaryan propose addenda and amendments to the law on Cinematography.
It is proposed to apply partial cash rebate, i.e. the filmmaker can return in the amount of up to 20% the costs for goods and services concerning directly the film production.
The co-author of the bill Sisak Gabrielyan noted that during the meetings in the National Assembly the specialists of the film production sphere voiced about the impossibility of some provisions of the law in force. The latter also assured that the adoption of the law will boost the film production. According to Sisak Gabrielyan, there is great interest connected with film production in Armenia by India, also by the United States. He informed that a number of proposals have already been accepted, and the others will be discussed during the period from the first to the second reading.
In the co-report, the member of the NA Standing Committee on Science, Education, Culture, Diaspora, Youth and Sport Hasmik Hakobyan mentioned that by law the mechanisms of state support do not function in practice, more effective mechanisms of law implementation are proposed. The Head Committee endorsed the issue.

The deputy Sona Ghazaryan and the co-author of the bill Taguhi Ghazaryan also emphasized the adoption of the initiative. It was noted that the new provisions will foster the Armenian film production, will promote the development of tourism, the increase of the investments and economic enlivening. Taguhi Ghazaryan assured the attendees that the functioning complicated mechanisms of the cash rebate of the in investments in the sphere are facilitated.
