I have demanded the Representative of the World Health Organization in Armenia respond appropriately to the illegal actions of the armed forces of Azerbaijan, who opened fire on an ambulance.
Today, from 06:00, the units of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces opened fire from artillery and mortar means on the Armenian positions located in the direction of Sotk. During these criminal operations, the Azerbaijani armed forces also opened fire at the ambulance carrying the wounded Armenian soldier.
By targeting the medical workers performing their professional duties and the ambulance once again, Azerbaijan grossly violated the provisions of International Humanitarian Law, the Geneva Convention.
Considering the above written, I have sent an urgent letter to the Representative of the World Health Organization in Armenia, alerting them about the incident and expecting to issue a specific and specific public statement regarding Azerbaijan’s violation of International Humanitarian Law.
