The public movement “Front of Security and Development of Artsakh” created in Artsakh calls Armenians to join the movement’s struggle. On May 18, representatives of the initiative group of the movement held a press conference. Former Minister of State of Artsakh Ruben Vardanyan, one of the movement’s members, said that the future of Artsakh, remaining independent and Armenian, is the problem of the people of Artsakh and the entire Armenian world.
“It is important that all of us together can preserve Artsakh as an Armenian world for the entire Armenian world and with them. That is why cooperation is crucial. I am sure thousands of people from Artsakh, Armenia, and the world will join this movement.”

Davit Manukyan, the former Artsakh Defense Army Deputy Commander, is also a movement member. He said that this process is not directed against someone but for the sake of Artsakh. “This process of ours is forced by the anti-Artsakh policy of Azerbaijan and the government of Armenia, as well as by the minor, small ferments taking place in Artsakh.”
The movement members said that they have a concrete concept of how they will fight and what problems they will solve. Do they have a road map on how they will implement their plan when it is announced that the people of Artsakh should stay in Artsakh and fight? In response to the question, Ruben Vardanyan showed a voluminous document and said there are 77 points, essentially a road map.
“The directions of the struggle are in different fields and every day: informational, military, etc. We have created that working map, which is in the process of being implemented.” Manukyan also mentioned that there are people from different fields in the movement. “We imagine what we are doing.”
“If you want to travel together, we must believe in each other; we must bring back the will of our people, the spirit, and the dream. 1988 there was no specific plan, but there was a lot of energy around one idea. And it is imperative to understand that our future is in our hands, no matter how hard it is. That’s why we must understand whether we are ready to go shoulder to shoulder with each other,” said Vardanyan.
