Political consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Armenia and Georgia
On June 22, regular political consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia and Georgia were held in Yerevan, led by Vahan Kostanyan, the Deputy Foreign Minister of Armenia and Lasha Darsalia, the First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia.
During the political consultations, both sides emphasized the positive dynamics of neighboring relations, discussed high-level interactions between Armenia and Georgia, as well as the agenda of the political dialogue. The parties expressed readiness to exert efforts towards further deepening the cooperation between the two countries.

The consultations also covered a wide range of issues with regards to regional security, the strengthening of bilateral economic, cultural, and educational contacts, the cooperation within international organizations as well as the enhancement of the legal framework.
Deputy Foreign Minister Kostanyan briefed the Georgian side on the aggressive actions undertaken these days by Azerbaijan, which pose a threat to stability and peace in the South Caucasus. Emphasis was placed on the urgent need to address the humanitarian crisis that has arisen in Nagorno-Karabakh due to the illegal blockade of the Lachin Corridor.
