“In Artsakh, we are all soldiers in the siege, and we must protect ourselves, our relatives, our place of birth,” the former Minister of State of Artsakh, public- politician Ruben Vardanyan stated the other day during a question-and-answer session on “Antituran” Telegram channel.
He mentioned that the discussions regarding politics and others seem wild because they live in a different reality.
To the question: when you were appointed Minister of State of Artsakh, did you have doubts, he answered: “I said: I am a soldier, wherever I am assigned, I will act there. But I took a time out and went around the regions of Artsakh. It was not an easy decision. But I realized that if I said it, then I must do it. Then the siege began; it was not an easy experience. No gas, electricity, or food, so people had to be fed. It seemed that there was a lot of pressure on the president.”
Ruben Vardanyan answered the observation: but they didn’t allow you to do your work until the end. Was it internal or external pressure? “It was a myth that if Ruben Vardanyan is not there, gas and electricity will be turned on, and the road will be opened.”

But today, there are more critical issues than today’s political system; more important than that is our nation, history, and existence, which is in danger of destruction.”
