The Chair of the RA NA Standing Committee on Foreign Relations, the Head of the Armeniaն delegation to the OSCE PA Sargis Khandanyan was elected Deputy Chair of the General Committee on Democracy, Human Rights and Humanitarian Questions.
The decision was on July 3 during the OSCE PA Annual Summer Session going on in in Vancouver. Assuming the position of the Committee Deputy Chair, Sargis Khandanyan at the same time becomes Member of the OSCE PA Bureau, which is the main governing body of the Assembly.
The parliamentary platform of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe Parliamentary Assembly (OSCE PA) united more than 320 MPs from 57 member countries. The main aim of the Organization is to promote the inter-parliamentary dialogue, advancing the OACE comprehensive security goals.
