On July 8 in Croatia Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia Ararat Mirzoyan had a meeting with Bujar Osmani, the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office, Foreign Minister of North Macedonia.
The interlocutors discussed regional security issues.
Minister Mirzoyan presented the security developments in the South Caucasus, the position of the Armenian side on key issues in the normalization process between Armenia and Azerbaijan. In the context of achieving lasting peace, the necessity of addressing the rights and security issues of the people of Nagorno-Karabakh was emphasized.
Security issues and humanitarian problems in Nagorno-Karabakh resulting from the illegal blockade of the Lachin corridor and aggressive actions of Azerbaijan were touched upon. Ararat Mirzoyan emphasized the need for concrete international steps to prevent Azerbaijan’s policy aimed at ethnic cleansing in Nagorno-Karabakh. Minister Mirzoyan stressed that since June 15, the Azerbaijani side has been creating obstacles even for the unhindered humanitarian access of the International Committee of the Red Cross to Nagorno-Karabakh.

The interlocutors also exchanged views on the issues of relations between the two countries, as well as interaction on international platforms, including the priorities of the chairmanship of Northern Macedonia in the OSCE and the existing challenges.
