In the media owned by the Prime Minister’s family, one political scientist called on the Security Service of Armenia to put the names of every man who signed under the “Hayakve” initiative under a magnifying glass. “Because this is an initiative of war, and if war operations start on the borders of Armenia, they should be driven to the front first, it is enough to solve political problems at the expense of the blood of their neighbor and friend. It is not a question of blood; it is a question of the state. These people hung a “sword of Damocles” over the head of the state.
During the “Aravot” program “Areresum” (“Confrontation),” Nairi Hokhikyan, a member of the “Hayakve” initiative, answered the question of whether he is ready to “be driven to the front” and, in particular, said: The initiators of the “Hayakve” initiative and those who joined later are mostly those people who went to the front during the war, participated in the liberation of the motherland and are still participating. And if it is needed tomorrow, they will participate again. And therefore, it is not us to be scared of war.”
The other program guest, jurist Aram Petrosyan, authorized by the “Hayakve” initiative group, and participates in the 44-day war. And referring to the fact that sending to the front line and sending to military gatherings continues to be considered as a sanction against opponents, Aram Petrosyan emphasized: “Defending the homeland and the border, serving in the army, protecting one’s parent and child is a man’s dignity, not a punishment.”Unfortunately, Armenia is ruled by people who avoided, are avoiding, and will avoid the army in the future.”
Let’s remind that the authors of the “Hayakve” initiative propose to amend the Criminal Code and impose a punishment of 10 to 15 years in prison for officials who recognize Artsakh as part of Azerbaijan on behalf of Armenia. You can join the initiative until August 19 at the community halls.
