Today, all pensioners in the Republic of Armenia receive a pension higher than the minimum consumption basket. Nikol Pashinyan made such a statement at today’s government session. According to him, according to the latest data of the National Statistical Committee, due to the recent drop in prices in Armenia, the value of the minimum food basket has also decreased, amounting to 34,825 drams. He reminded that from July 1, the minimum pension was set at 36 thousand drams.
“The pension repayment system is developing very actively. It’s been a year since we implemented this system. In fact, during the previous year, non-cash transactions by pensioners increased from zero to 37.7 billion drams; that is, pensioners made non-cash transactions of about 100 million dollars in 1 year,” said the Prime Minister. He added that this number is increasing every year. According to July data, pensioners and beneficiaries in Armenia registered non-cash transactions of 4 billion 931 million drams and refunds of over 418 million drams.
