On August 22, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia Ararat Mirzoyan received Andrzej Kasprzyk, the Personal Representative of the Chairperson-in-Office of the OSCE. The meeting took place within the visit, requested by the OSCE Chairman-in-Office, to the area of the Lachin corridor, aimed at reporting on the current situation.
During the meeting, issues on regional security were discussed.
Touching upon the deepening humanitarian crisis in Nagorno-Karabakh resulting from Azerbaijan’s illegal blockade of the Lachin corridor, Ararat Mirzoyan emphasized the imperative of urgent and effective steps by the international community, including the OSCE, to prevent the imminent humanitarian catastrophe and its irreversible consequences.
Minister Mirzoyan also reaffirmed the importance of addressing the rights and security issues of the people of Nagorno-Karabakh under effective international mechanisms.
