At November 15 extraordinary sitting of the NA Standing Committee on Health Care the draft law designing an addendum to the law on Medical Aid and Service of the Population was debated in the second reading.
The RA First Deputy Minister of Health Lena Nanushyan reminded that by the addendum it is proposed not to spread the requirement of having a continuing professional development (CPD) certificate designed by the law for the senior and mid-level medical professionals to carry out medical aid and service on the senior and mid-level medical professionals forcibly displaced from Nagorno Karabakh after September 19, 2023
The Committee Chair Narek Zeynalyan noted that at present about 800 senior and mid-level medical professionals are registered in the National Institute of Health. “The training process rather actively continues,” the Committee Chair noted, adding that the Ministry of Health assures that until January 1, 2025 the process will completely end, the medical professionals will get CPD certificates and will be able to get hired.
The Committee endorsed the draft law.
