On December 18, the Chair of the Standing Committee on Labor and Social Affairs Heriknaz Tigranyan, the member of the Committee Mariam Poghosyan met with the Member of Parliament of Singapore Raj Joshua Thomas being in Armenia to take part International Forum on the theme Advancing Social Justice: Reshaping The Future of Work In The Era of Technological Transformations and Crisis.
Welcoming the guest in parliament, Heriknaz Tigranyan highlighted the development of inter-parliamentary relations, especially the deepening of cooperation between the Armenia-Singapore Friendship Groups.
Thanking his colleagues for reception, Raj Joshua Thomas noted that Singapore and Armenia have very good relations. The guest agreed that it is necessary to develop the collaboration between the Friendship Groups.
The Armenian parliamentarians were interested in the regulations of Singapore in the sphere of social security. The sides exchanged viewpoints on social support programs, the universal declaration of physical entities’ incomes and the accumulated pension systems.

According to Heriknaz Tigranyan, the RA Government designs to remove the extreme poverty in the country until 2026 and essentially reduce the poverty. “I think that the economic vitality that exists in our country, will promote reaching these goals,” the Committee Chair underscored.
