In a recent attack, two explosions were heard within a few minutes, happening one after another near the grave of Iranian general Qasem Soleimani which killed more than 100 people.
The explosion left many people wounded as the country marked its anniversary of his killing in a US drone strike in Iraq.
“Huge explosion heard near Saheb al-Zaman Mosque” where the head of foreign operations of Iran’s Revolutionary Guards is buried in Kerman in southern Iran, AFP reported by quoting the local media which again added shortly afterward, “A second explosion was heard near Saheb al-Zaman Mosque.”
As per the reports of Reuters, Reza Fallah, head of the Kerman province Red Crescent rescuers said, “Our rapid response teams are evacuating the injured… But there are waves of crowds blocking roads.”

The state TV of the Iranian nation reported that there was an explosion near the burial place of Qasem Soleimani, but gave no details on what caused the explosion.
According to the live broadcast and media reports, several people were injured in a stampede after the explosions took place, while showing thousands of mourners participating in the death anniversary. There were also ambulances seen on the explosion site.
According to the reports of Nournews “several gas canisters exploded on the road leading to the cemetery” while a local official was quoted by Iranian state media as saying “it is not yet clear whether the explosions were caused by gas cylinders or a terrorist attack”.
The attacks were condemned by Ebrahim Raisi, the president of Iran. He said, “Undoubtedly, the perpetrators … of this cowardly act will soon be identified and punished for their heinous act by the capable security and law enforcement forces. The enemies of the nation should know that such actions can never disrupt the solid determination of the Iranian nation.”
