With the adoption of the draft, the notion of ‘biological death’ will be legally enshrined, as well as a legal basis will be established for the approval of the list of organs to be taken for transplantation after the authorized body records the fact of the brain or biological death of a person.
On February 21, the NA Standing Committee on Health Care debated in the first reading the draft law on Making Amendments and Addenda to the Law on Transplantation of Human Organs and (or) Tissues. The initiative was presented by the RA Deputy Minister of Health Armen Gasparyan.
Compliance of the provisions of the law with the provisions of the Law on Medical Aid and Service to the Population and the other legal acts will be ensured.
The Committee endorsed the draft.
