During the regional visits, the residents of the communities raise, in particular, the issues regarding irrigation water and water meters, and express their concerns in this regard: The deputy of the RA NA Civil Contract Faction Rustam Bakoyan said during the work discussion on irrigation water problems, state aid programmes in the agricultural sector, irrigation water measurement issues, and legislative reforms. The discussion was held on March 13.
Rustam Bakoyan noted that the problems raised are not new, various solutions have been given over time. However, the assessment of their effectiveness was ambiguously perceived by specialists in the field and by farmers. The deputy stated that the problems faced by the agricultural farms regarding irrigation water remain unresolved. The issue of irrigation water measurement has not yet been resolved, the regulations approved in 2007 are not valid.
According to the Chairman of the Water Committee of the RA Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure Vahagn Gevorgyan, who was invited to the discussion, daily work is being done to solve the problems, they cooperate not only with the state, but also with various international structures.

Vahagn Gevorgyan informed that design and construction projects of 15+4 reservoirs are being implemented in the direction of reservoir construction. The construction works of two reservoirs are in progress.
The representatives of the communities spoke about the existing problems related to the implementation of agricultural works, underscored the necessity to improve the water supply systems, as well as presented proposals. It was mentioned that appropriate legislative regulations are needed to solve the problems.
The participants of the discussion highlighted the issue of jointly discussing the problems and finding solutions and expressed hope that the raised problems will get their solutions.
