On April 8, the Vice President of the National Assembly of Armenia Ruben Rubinyan, the members of the Standing Committees on Foreign Relations, on European Integration and on Defense and Security met with the delegation led by the Chair of the Political and Security Committee of the Council of the European Union (EU) Delphine Pronk.
Welcoming the guests’ visit to Armenia, Ruben Rubinyan highlighted the deepening of the Armenia-EU multi-layer cooperation.
The NA Vice President presented the security situation, the challenges in the region, spoke about the approaches of the Republic of Armenia on the key issues of the peace process between Armenia and Azerbaijan. The Armenian parliamentarians emphasized the role of the EU Civilian Observation Mission in Armenia in ensuring security in the region.

The sides discussed issues regarding the development of the RA-EU cooperation in a number of spheres. Reference was also made to the necessity of beginning the dialogue on the RA-EU visa liberalisation.
