Former RA Human Rights Defender Arman Tatoyan wrote on his Facebook page:
Imprisonments and abductions of Artsakh (Nagorno Karabakh) leaders, public-state figures, as well as military personnel by the Azerbaijani authorities are clearly unlawful and are absolutely arbitrary, acts of criminal nature.
With these unlawful imprisonments and political persecutions, the Azerbaijani authorities are solving global issues for themselves: humiliating the Armenian people, belittling our national values, destroying the spirit of struggle and our ethnic identity, showing their apparent advantages with the motive of revenge, inciting animosity between the two peoples and at the expense of humiliating our national and individual dignity.
Therefore, it is clear that expecting any fairness or justice from the Azerbaijani authorities is simply pointless.
