The members of the RA NA Armenia-USA Friendship Group met with the Vice President of International Programs at Freedom House Gerardo Berthin, the Deputy Director of Europe and Eurasia Programs Sofya Orlosky, the Deputy Director for Policy and Advocacy, the Coordinator on Summit for Democracy on the Europe and Eurasia Region Katie LaRoque and the Senior Research Analyst Mike Smeltzer in Washington.
The procedure of the democratic reforms in Armenia, the issues of freedom of human rights, press and internet were discussed.
It was recorded that in recent years Armenia registered essential progress in strengthening democracy.
The current problems and challenges, particularly the hybrid attacks being carried out against democracy and the toolkit of dealing with them were discussed.
