At the sitting of May 22, the National Assembly debated and adopted a number of legislative initiatives in the second reading.
The Government is the author of the proposed amendments to the laws on Public Service, on Local Self-Government and on Local Self-Government in the City of Yerevan.
The initiative stipulates the prohibition of the members of the Council of Elders of the communities from holding public or public service positions.
According to the RA Deputy Minister of Justice Karen Karapetyan, no proposals were presented regarding the package after it was accepted in the first reading.

According to the RA Deputy Minister of Finance Arman Poghosyan, the bill providing for amendment in the Tax Code of the Republic of Armenia was debated.
Another addendum made from the first to the second reading is aimed at improving the level of tax discipline of taxpayers.

According to the rapporteur, the initiative was not amended after the first reading.
The author of the draft on Making Amendments and Addenda to the Law on Enforcement of Judicial Acts is the Government.
According to the RA Deputy Minister of Justice Levon Balyan, the initiative was not amended during the period from the first to the second reading.
The MPs debated the legislative package providing for amendments and addenda to the law on Vocational Education and Training and the related laws. It was presented by the RA Deputy Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport Araxia Svajyan.
The rapporteur also mentioned the other implemented amendments.
The RA Deputy Minister of Defense Hrachya Sargsyan presented the draft law providing for addenda and amendments to the law on Military Service and the Status of Servicemen.
It was noted that no proposals were received on the draft after the first reading.
The proposed addenda to the Civil Code of the Republic of Armenia were presented by the RA Deputy Minister of Economy Rafayel Gevorgyan.
After the first reading, the Government proposed that the law enter into force the day after its official publication.
National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia
