Reverend Bagrat, the leader of the “Tavush for the Motherland” movement, spoke yesterday in the yard of St. Anna Church, stating, “We are receiving news from different regions that businessmen are being forced to go to ‘influential’ people—landowners, community leaders, or neighborhood enforcers—and sign documents pledging their support. They are being coerced.”
The archbishop urged those facing such pressures to call the hotline indicated on the movement’s Facebook page: “Especially for such pressures, whether from civil servants, police officers, or ordinary citizens, particularly in the regions. I urge you to call immediately. If you encounter such documents that force you to sign or record, refuse to comply. We should not compromise with lies.”
The archbishop announced that on the morning at 10:00 a.m. he will be in the courtyard of St. Anna’s Church. “I will wait for you here. We will go to one of our institutions, though I won’t specify which one. It is a very important institution. I have a crucial message to convey. We may go to Kanaker or the South-Western district.”
