Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan sent a condolence message to the President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, on the occasion of the death of the prominent explorer of the Arctic and Antarctic Artur Chilingarov. The message reads as follows,
“Dear Vladimir Vladimirovich,
It was with deep sadness that I learned about the death of Artur Nikolayevich Chilingarov, an outstanding explorer of the Arctic and Antarctic, a member of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation.
Being an outstanding scientist, the author of fundamental research on oceanography, the North and South Poles, Artur Chilingarov was also awarded the state awards of the Republic of Armenia for his contribution to the strengthening and development of friendship between Armenia and Russia.
