On June 4, the delegation led by the RA NA President Alen Simonyan met with the President of the National Assembly of the Republic of Slovenia Urška Klakočar Zupančič within the framework of the official visit to Slovenia.
The interlocutors highly appreciated the relations appreciated between Armenia and Slovenia, underscoring the importance of parliamentary diplomacy in the effective cooperation of the two countries.
The security situation in the South Caucasus and in Europe was discussed in detail.
Alen Simonyan presented the Crossroads of Peace project of the RA Government to Urška Klakočar Zupančič, underlined the importance of the project in the context of the establishment of peace in the South Caucasus and creating trade-economic opportunities for the countries of the region.

The perspectives of the rapprochement of the Armenia-EU relations, the launch of the EU visa liberalisation dialogue for the citizens of the Republic of Armenia, the regulation process of the Armenian-Azerbaijani relations and the imperative of the return of Armenian prisoners of war being illegally held in Azerbaijan.
At the end of the meeting the sides made a joint press statement, after which Alen Simonyan left a note in the Book of Honourable Guests and took a tour in the National Assembly of Slovenia.
