Deputy Foreign Minister Paruyr Hovhannisyan had a meeting with Tristan Azbej, the Secretary of State for the “Aid of Persecuted Christians and the Hungary Helps Program” of the Hungarian Government.
During the meeting, the parties welcomed the notable progress recorded after the restoration of diplomatic relations between the two countries, and highlighted the importance of implementing the agreements signed following the high-level mutual meetings.
The interlocutors touched upon a wide range of issues on development of bilateral relations, including the need to foster ties in the spheres of trade, economy, culture, education, tourism and others.. The sides touched upon the Armenia-EU partnership, considering that Hungary assumed the EU presidency on July 1.
The Deputy Foreign Minister of Armenia presented the latest developments in the normalization process of Armenia-Azerbaijan relations, including the efforts of Armenia towards reaching a peace agreement, as well as the “Crossroads of Peace” project developed by the Government of Armenia.
