Within the framework of the official visit to Tbilisi, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia Ararat Mirzoyan had a meeting with Irakli Kobakhidze, the Prime Minister of Georgia.
The interlocutors discussed a range of issues on the extensive bilateral agenda, expressing confidence that the development of the strategic partnership will further enhance cooperation between the two countries in various sectors. Minister Mirzoyan emphasized that his first visit following the establishment of the strategic partnership and the recent discussions demonstrate the intention to achieve new tangible results for the citizens of both countries.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia and the Prime Minister of Georgia discussed issues of regional security. Minister Mirzoyan briefed on Armenia’s efforts to normalize relations with neighboring countries, stressing the importance of making progress in signing the peace treaty with Azerbaijan to ensure lasting stability and peace in the South Caucasus.
During the meeting, cooperation and mutual support on multilateral platforms, as well as the unblocking of regional economic and transport communications, were also touched upon.
