The United States welcomed the meeting of the special representatives of Armenia and Turkey, Ruben Rubinyan and Serdar Kilic, calling it a positive step towards establishing peace and stability in the South Caucasus.
“We welcome this meeting. The United States views the normalization of relations between Turkey and Armenia as a positive step towards establishing peace and stability in the South Caucasus,” a State Department spokesman told Anadolu Agency.
Regarding the negotiation process between Yerevan and Baku on the signing of the peace agreement, the State Department indicated that both countries continue to make significant progress and the United States is determined to support this process.
