On August 16, the Deputy Foreign Minister of the Republic of Armenia Paruyr Hovhannisyan received Claudia Bush, newly appointed Ambassador of Germany to Armenia, on the occasion of handing over a copy of her credentials.
Congratulating Claudia Bush upon the assumption of her mission, the Deputy Minister expressed hope that the Ambassador will spare no effort to strengthen Armenian-German friendly relations and further develop cooperation.
The interlocutors touched upon the intensity of contacts between Armenia and Germany over the past year, noting that the frequency of bilateral high-level visits indicates the dynamic development of Armenian-German relations and the high level of political dialogue.
Views were exchanged on advancing cooperation in spheres of mutual interest and expanding trade and economic cooperation. Parliamentary cooperation and active dialogue between the two friendship groups were also emphasised.
