On April 10, within the framework of the 221st session of the UNESCO Executive Board, by a unanimous decision of the member states, the “Lawcode (Datastanagirk, Armenian Lawcode)” by the great 12th-century Armenian thinker, scientist, legislator, fabulist and educator Mkhitar Gosh was registered in the Memory of the World Register.

The application was developed by the Mesrop Mashtots Scientific Research Institute of Ancient Manuscripts.

The Memory of the World Register is a list of documentary heritage that includes documents, manuscripts, audiovisual materials, library collections and archives of exceptional importance and value to humanity, including the collection of ancient manuscripts of Mesrop Mashtots Matenadaran, the galaxy study of astronomer Benjamin Markarian (or the first study of Byurakan), the handwritten notes and film music collection of composer Aram Khachaturian and the collection of works of Komitas Vardapet.
