On April 17, the National Assembly continued the debate of the report on the process and results of the implementation of the RA Government Programme (2021-2026) for 2024.
The NA factions expressed their positions on the report.
The Head of the NA Armenia Faction Seyran Ohanyan negatively assessed the activities and the implementation of the Government, touching upon the domestic and foreign policies of being implemented by the Government. Speaking about the issue of ensuring the security of the country, the activities of the Government are out of touch with reality and disproportionate to the situation. “I think that today we are also in a deep crisis: a security crisis, a psychological crisis, a crisis of sovereignty, but all of that is the cause of a governance crisis,” Seyran Ohanyan said in particular.
The Head of the NA Civil Contract Faction Hayk Konjoryan referred to the critical speeches of the opposition colleagues and presented a number of counterarguments.

Addressing the activities of the Government, Hayk Konjoryan particularly noted that the citizens of Armenia contributed an additional $4.3 billion to the state budget in the last 7 years. According to him, what was considered fantasy 7 years ago is now considered normal. “And that, I think, is one of the greatest political achievements,” said the Head of the Faction. Regarding the issue of ensuring the country’s security, Hayk Konjoryan noted that peace is the main guarantee of the security of the Armenian people and the Republic of Armenia. “We will follow that path, the political majority, with joint efforts with the Government, will continue to follow this path and with this belief,” the Head of the Faction summed up his speech.
