Secretary General of the European External Action Service (EEAS), Belen Martinez Carbonell, received the Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan, Hikmet Hajiyev, as reported in a post by Belen Martinez Carbonell on the microblogging platform X.
“Pleased to welcome Azerbaijan’s Presidential Advisor Hikmet Hajiyev to the EEAS.
We discussed EU-Azerbaijan relations, the EU’s support for the Armenia-Azerbaijan normalization process, and regional developments.
The EU remains committed to peace and prosperity in the region,” noted Belen Martinez Carbonell.
