Today we celebrate the birthday of Ruben Vardanyan – a man who has his own vision, a humanist and a patriot. For the second year in a row, Ruben is spending his birthday in Baku prison, where he is under illegal arrest. However, his ideas, values and the work he started continue to live and develop.
At the IDeA Foundation, we have chosen to mark Ruben’s 57th birthday not with words, but with action — by continuing the work he began and deeply believed in. Together with his partners, Ruben launched programs that continue to shape the future of Armenia and the Armenian world to this day.
This short film is our birthday tribute to him. We will continue to do what he would have done if he were here: think long-term, invest in people, and build the future.
