On June 18 HIF Yerevan 2025 investment forum took place in Yerevan, bringing together hundreds of business leaders from 14 countries to discuss a range of investment projects.
Hospitality ecosystem development, market trends, risk management, sustainable hospitality development, destination branding, regional tourism clusters and other topics were raised during the panel sessions with the participation of authoritative speakers from Armenia and different countries.
The forum is designed to catalyze investment, foster strategic partnerships, and promote sustainable development, positioning Armenia as a competitive destination in the regional and global hospitality landscape.

“Armenia stands at the threshold of new opportunities in tourism and hospitality. Our goal is not only to improve infrastructure but also to boost investments and revitalize local economies. The TRIP and LEIDP programs are already laying a solid foundation in this direction. We invite the private sector to become active partners in this journey and invest in a sector with immense growth potential,” said Gevorg Papoyan, the Minister of Economy of the Republic of Armenia.
“Sustainable tourism can drive Armenia’s green transition, and requires concrete steps: phasing out single-use plastics by 2026, adopting strict water and waste management, and making food supply chains more sustainable. By adopting more sustainable practices across supply chains – from responsible sourcing to reducing environmental impacts and supporting local producers – the sector can strengthen its long-term growth while protecting nature,” said Françoise Jacob, the UN Resident Coordinator in Armenia.
“We focus on shaping the market, attracting investment to Armenia, and developing high-quality projects. Our goal is to bring together all stakeholders from consultants to major construction firms and international operators. We believe this collaboration will create strong synergy for the growth of infrastructure development and tourism across the country. It’s not just about what happens during the forum; what takes place between the events is just as important,” Stone Development CEO, HIF 2025 Founder Akim Pohosian told reporters.
The investment forum was organized by Stone Development. The participants included business leaders from the U.S., UK, France, UAE, Russia, the Czech Republic, Georgia, Qatar, Romania, the Netherlands, Belgium, Switzerland, Oman, and other countries representing Accor, Hilton, Hyatt, IHG, Marriott, Radisson, Wyndham international hotel chains and other companies.
HIF took place in Yerevan for the second consecutive year, with YHIF 2024 resulting in the signing of two major investment agreements. One of them was reached between Accor, a world-leading hospitality group, and Armenian real estate operator Technotun, marking the official launch of the Pullman brand in Armenia. By another agreement, Radisson Hotel Group announced the opening of Radisson Hotel & Spa Gyumri and later Radisson Tsaghkadzor.
General partners of the forum are:
- Ameriabank, a leading financial and technology institution in Armenia, the largest lender to the Armenian economy
- Cushman & Wakefield, a leading hotel advisory firm in CEE delivering strategic real estate solutions
- Myler Mountain Resort, a modern ski complex and one of Armenia’s largest and long-term multi-phase investment projects in the tourism sector,
- TK Elevator (TKE), the world’s leading German elevator and escalator manufacturer (formerly ThyssenKrupp) represented in Armenia by BASSEN, the official and exclusive distributor.
The strategic partners include Aimbridge, AIM Foundation, Green Rock, IDeA Foundation, Pullman Residences Yerevan, Stellar Hotels and Team Systems.
