Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan received OSCE Chairman-in-Office, Finnish Foreign Minister Elina Valtonen.
The Prime Minister highlighted the effective cooperation with the OSCE, noting that an active dialogue has been established over the past years. Nikol Pashinyan stressed the need to strengthen the role of the OSCE in order to ensure security and stability in the organization’s area of responsibility.
Elina Valtonen congratulated on the establishment of peace between Armenia and Azerbaijan, expressing confidence that it will significantly contribute to building a stable future for Armenia and developing cooperation in the region.
The interlocutors touched upon the normalization of relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan, the continuation of the demarcation process, and issues related to regional processes.

They exchanged views on the development of Armenia-European Union relations. Prime Minister Pashinyan highlighted the EU’s consistent support for strengthening democracy and promoting reforms, emphasizing that the introduction of EU standards in various sectors is of primary importance for the Government of the Republic of Armenia. In this context, issues related to the fight against corruption, the development of civil society, the improvement of the business environment, and reforms being implemented in other areas were discussed.
Nikol Pashinyan and Elina Valtonen also touched upon issues related to the further development of relations between Armenia and Finland. In particular, they exchanged views on the opportunities for promoting business ties and attracting investments. The parties emphasized the need to organize high-level mutual visits.
