On October 21 in Yerevan, a few days before its grand opening, Tashir Arena welcomed guests to a charity pre-premiere of the original theatrical and circus show ETERNIA. The first viewers of the new production were those who especially need warmth and care — large families and families from Artsakh, veterans, people with disabilities, and beneficiaries of charitable foundations.
For many of them, this evening became a true celebration filled with light, music, and faith in kindness.
ETERNIA is an original theatrical and circus performance created especially for the stage of Tashir Arena. At its core lies a story about the eternal struggle between light and darkness — about faith, hope, love, and the boundless power of the human spirit capable of overcoming any obstacle; a story of a journey beyond the edge of reality. The large-scale rehearsals lasted for almost two years, and more than a hundred artists from different countries took part in the show. About 2,000 guests from all over Armenia attended the pre-premiere.

The international cast and cutting-edge technology made ETERNIA a true world-class stage event. According to the project’s creator and its driving force Tatevik Karapetyan, “This is not just a show, but an artistic statement about inner freedom and the power to overcome. We created ETERNIA as a story that can touch every heart, give strength, and remind us that even in the most difficult moments, there is light within us. It is especially symbolic that the very first audience of Tashir Arena are those who, more than anyone else, know the true value of resilience and hope.”
Every detail of the show — sound, light, costume, and movement — serves a single artistic vision, creating a sense of total immersion. ETERNIA was directed and choreographed by Pavel Brun, a world-class stage director and choreographer whose works can be seen on the stages of Cirque du Soleil. Together with the MEDUSE team, he created a show where technology, movement, and emotion merge into one. “ETERNIA is a journey through the inner world of a human being, told through the language of light, movement, and sound. We wanted to create not just a spectacle, but an emotional experience that connects the viewer with themselves,” he noted.
The performance also pays special tribute to Armenia and its culture — from the music and artistic elements of the show to the participation of talented Armenian performers. The soloist and main heroine of the show, Narine Madunts, is a gifted Armenian singer who preserves and promotes traditional Armenian music through her art. The show’s music was composed over several months by Valeriy Tolstov, a composer and multi-instrumentalist of Armenian origin. Inspired by national motifs and the atmosphere of ETERNIA, he created unique compositions and arrangements that blend seamlessly with the visual effects and the storyline of the performance. Particular attention was given to live sound: the entire orchestra consists of talented Armenian musicians, and the arena’s acoustics — designed with the participation of world experts — allow every instrument to shine, fully immersing the audience in the show’s atmosphere.
The premiere of ETERNIA reflects the long-standing values of the Tashir Group, for which social responsibility and philanthropy have always been an integral part of its approach. The special pre-premiere symbolizes the social mission of Tashir Arena — to be not just a new point on the country’s cultural map, but a space where human attention, support, and faith stand at the heart of everything. For many viewers, this evening became an inspiring event filled with emotion and a sense of wonder.
Tatevik Karapetyan emphasized the importance of this day for Armenia’s cultural life: “Today, we are opening not just a new building or launching a landmark show — we are creating a space where emotions and inspiration will be born. Tashir Arena is a place where art meets love for Armenia. If even one person leaves tonight with a feeling of light and joy, it means we have done everything right.”
The official opening ceremony of Tashir Arena will take place on October 24, and starting from October 25, the first public performances of ETERNIA will be open to all audiences. Tickets are available on the official website — https://tashirarena.am/ — and at the arena’s box office. A special discount system is provided for various visitor categories, including children, students, large families, veteran families, and group visits. Full details are available on the website.
The pre-premiere charity show was organized with the support of the Tashir Charitable Foundation and became a true celebration for those who especially need care and support. Two months earlier, in August, another charitable event — “Children for Children” — was held at the initiative of Samvel Karapetyan, President of the Foundation. That evening, the stage lights of Tashir Arena were lit for the very first time, marking the beginning of a new chapter in the history of the renewed Yerevan Circus.
