On November 19, in San Francisco, Ambassador Narek Mkrtchyan met with Mayor Daniel Lurie. During the meeting, the Ambassador and the Mayor discussed opportunities to deepen cooperation between Armenia and San Francisco, with particular focus on the economic and high-tech sectors.
The Ambassador proposed considering the Yerevan–San Francisco sister cities initiative, as well as the idea of opening a “Tumo” center in San Francisco as a forward looking educational initiative.
Potential formats for collaboration with the San Francisco Chamber of Commerce, including expanding connections between Armenian and local business communities were also discussed.
NVIDIA Vice President Rev Lebaredian, Firebird AI co-founder Razmik Hovakimyan, and Consul General of Armenia in Los Angeles Karen Israelyan also attended the meeting.
