Minister Mirzoyan expressed hope that the approval of the new Armenia–NATO partnership program would create an opportunity to develop relations with a more ambitious agenda

Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia Ararat Mirzoyan received NATO Deputy Secretary General Radmila Shekerinska.

The interlocutors commended the dynamics in development of the cooperation between Armenia and NATO, emphasizing that joint efforts have created solid prerequisites for the further deepening of the partnership. Minister Mirzoyan expressed hope that the approval of the new Armenia–NATO partnership program would create an opportunity to develop relations with a more ambitious agenda.

Various programs of cooperation between Armenia and NATO, including those aimed at strengthening Armenia’s resilience and advancing reforms were touched upon. The cooperation established through Armenia’s participation in NATO peacekeeping missions was noted with satisfaction.

Minister Mirzoyan presented the latest developments in the processes of normalization of relations with neighboring countries. Foreign Minister of Armenia highly appreciated NATO’s expressed support for Armenia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, as well as for the peace established in the region. Views were exchanged on further steps toward the institutionalization of peace.
Ararat Mirzoyan and Radmila Shekerinska also touched upon the opportunities created through the unblocking of regional communications.
