Today, the Buenos Aires Chapter of the Society for Orphaned Armenian Relief (SOAR), together with the eight families of civilians convicted in connection with the Kerch Bridge case, has formally submitted a Legal Appeal to the Presidents of the United States, the Russian Federation, and Ukraine, as well as to leading international human rights organizations. This appeal calls attention to grave violations of due process, the absence of individualized evidence, and the devastating humanitarian impact of life sentences imposed on eight ordinary men — including Armenian citizen Artur Terchanyan — who maintain their innocence. We stand with these families in their pursuit of justice, transparency, and humanity, and we reaffirm our commitment to ensuring that their voices are heard within international legal, diplomatic, and humanitarian frameworks. Human dignity, fair trial, and the protection of civilians must never be sacrificed to political convenience.
