Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan met with Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney at the Government House.
The Prime Minister welcomed the visit of Mark Carney and his delegation to Armenia within the framework of the 8th Summit of the European Political Community. “I would like to thank you for accepting the invitation to participate in the Summit of the European Political Community and for taking the opportunity to visit our country. I believe that your participation makes this format more effective, because it clearly broadens the views and perspectives,” the Prime Minister noted.
Mark Carney thanked the Prime Minister of Armenia and the Government for the invitation to participate in this important event. The Prime Minister of Canada thanked Nikol Pashinyan and the Government of Armenia for the support provided to Canadians in connection with the Iran conflict. At the same time, he touched upon the monitoring carried out in the region with the European Union and expressed readiness to provide assistance in holding elections. The Canadian Prime Minister noted how impressed he is with Prime Minister Pashinyan’s leadership in bringing about regional stability and greater prosperity for the Armenian people.
During the meeting, the interlocutors touched upon the friendly bilateral relations between Armenia and Canada and exchanged views on issues of mutual interest.
