Armenpress. Iranian cinematographer, screenwriter, and film director Mahmoud Kalari will chair the jury of the Regional Competition of the 23rd Golden Apricot Yerevan International Film Festival, organizers announced on Tuesday.
Since the 1980s, Kalari has participated in the creation of more than sixty films, and his photographic works have been exhibited in various parts of the world.
Kalari’s work on the internationally acclaimed, Oscar-winning film A Separation (2011) earned him a Silver Frog at the Camerimage International Film Festival of the Art of Cinematography in 2011.
He is known for his work on internationally recognized films such as The Wind Will Carry Us (1999), Gabbeh (1996), Leila (1997), and Offside (2006), as well as for winning multiple cinematography awards at major international film festivals.
