On 10 July 2026 the Delegation of the Republic of Armenia to the UN participated and made a statement at the UN General Assembly High-Level Meeting on HIV/AIDS.

Armenia reaffirmed its commitment to ending AIDS as a public health threat by 2030. Progress in HIV prevention, testing, and treatment was highlighted.

It was emphasized that, since 2024, the Government of Armenia has ensured full domestic financing of antiretroviral medicines, marking a significant milestone toward sustainable and reliable access to treatment.

It was also added that expanded testing and health service coverage have contributed to early diagnosis and improved case detection.
The Armenian Delegation also highlighted that equity, human rights, and stigma-free access to services are central pillars of an effective HIV response.
