A working meeting was held between Professor Armen Muradyan, President of the Armenian Medical World Congress 2027 and Rector of Yerevan State Medical University (YSMU); Professor Ara Babloyan, Honorary President of the Congress; and Zhenya Ghazaryan, Program Manager at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA). The meeting was also attended by members of the Congress Organizing Committee: Professor Konstantin Yenokyan, YSMU Vice-Rector for Science, and Khachatur Margaryan, Vice-Rector for Development and Marketing.
The discussions focused particularly on the pediatric component of the upcoming major medical and scientific event and its format. Armen Muradyan noted that the development of pediatrics is based on training and developing human resources, as well as expanding cooperation, which are among the key objectives of the joint work with this renowned U.S. institution. At the end of September, Yerevan State Medical University and the leading Children’s Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA), signed a Memorandum of Understanding. Within this framework, five students from the YSMU School of Pediatrics are scheduled to visit Children’s Hospital Los Angeles from November 2 to 26, 2026. According to Ara Babloyan and Armen Muradyan, the Armenian Medical World Congress 2027 will also address pediatrics and artificial intelligence, exploring those topics from various pediatric perspectives.
Pediatrics, public health, and reproductive health are among the areas that will also have a significant presence and an important message at the upcoming event. Zhenya Ghazaryan, for her part, expressed her readiness for active participation in the upcoming Congress and further cooperation, following an exchange of views during the meeting.
