He “did not get” the essence

Yesterday ex-president of the RA Robert Kocharyan reflecting on the 2008 March 1 events in the interview given to MediaMax represented those events and their chronology according to his personal comfort and point of view. According to Kocharyan, the picture of those events is quite clear, “Their essence is the following – the defeated candidate stated that he is the one who had been elected and was going to take the presidential palace by force.” The reality, however, is quite different. Levon Ter-Petrossian did not speak of taking the presidential palace by force at any rally or during any speech whatsoever. On the contrary, he literally stated, “We will not go in the way of breaking gates, forget it!”
