A moveable feast from now on

  For the first time in the history of Khachatur Abovyan School all the 2300 school graduates received their diplomas on the same day. The Catholicos of All Armenians, His Holiness Supreme Patriarch Garegin II granted ten best students of the Pedagogical University graduate certificates. The event was followed by the festal concert of the Armenian State Chamber Orchestra. They played Komitas’s tunes, Astor Piazolla’s “Tango” collection, Arno Babajanyan’s “Vocalise”, Ruben Altunyan’s edited versions of “Berd” (castle) and Kochari and fragments from Antonio Vivaldi’s “The Four Seasons”. The event ended with festal fireworks and the promise to repeat next year.
